Creating An Active Life

How do you assess your personal activity level?

Do you consider yourself highly active if you go to the gym 5 - 6 days a week?

While that's an impressive frequency for exercise, ask yourself: what do you do the rest of your day after that hour or so in the gym?

If the answer is chill on the couch, sit for work for 6 - 7 hours, or anything else that doesn't include much movement, you won't be getting the most out of the hard work you're putting in at the gym.

I get it - you have an office job and don't have all day to run around burning calories.

Studies show that taking 5-10 minute breaks every hour of sedentary activity helps to keep you more engaged in your work, relieves neck and back pain, and increases blood flow to your muscles.

And the more active you are throughout the day, the more energy you will have...that means no more falling asleep at your desk during boring Zoom calls.

On your days off, how can you continue being active in your every day life?

Make the most out of your down time by picking leisure activities that get you moving, such as going for a walk after dinner, kayaking, or my favorite to do with my mini me - playing mini golf.

Remaining active throughout your work and leisure time will get you even greater gains throughout your health and fitness journey.

So where can you include more daily activity to create your best self?
