go slow, homie!

It's Monday morning - reading this graphic, you might think I'm still sleeping.

Slow is fast? Yep.

This quote is from André De Shields - an actor who, when he won his first Tony Award at age 73, wanted to drop a 'wisdom bomb' on his audience.

What's this mean to me?

You're never too old to start something new.

Everyone is a beginner at something if they let themselves be.

Your 'slow progress' is not too slow. All progress is great progress.

Rushing your progress, whether it be a weight loss goal, a fitness goal, career growth, or otherwise, will cause you to miss all of the small things that you find and learn along the path of a longer journey.

Without that knowledge, you might find yourself back at square one, or lost at your 'final destination'.

Embrace and find joy in the long, slow, knowledge-filled journeys in your life.

That's where sustainability and growth are found.
