Things that don't come easily to me:
1️⃣ Running long distances
2️⃣ Running in general
3️⃣ Facing the demons of doubt in my mind
Still, I am determined to prove to myself that I can do what I set out to do.
I wake up early on the weekends to try my best, despite the weather being uncooperative.
I prioritize fueling my body to accomplish greater feats, even though I'd be happy eating cake all day.
I step on the treadmill and battle those demons that creep in at mile 3 and every step after.
Why am I doing this?
Because I have a goal I want to hit. And since it's not a natural gift for me, I have to work really hard to get to it.
I might not hit it, but I'll know I did everything I could to get there, and if I miss, I'll try again.
I'm not an athlete, I never was. I've never won anything, but I know I can hit my realistic goals with determination.
Why am I writing this?
If I can do it you can do it.
It might take work, you might get frustrated and you will want to quit.
But you won't.
I have faith in you.
Let's reach our goals together.
