I've been having a lot of really negative headspace days lately...I know where they're stemming from, and unfortunately I can't do much to change it.
It's been causing low motivation for me and, although I've still been chugging along with my regularly scheduled activities (remember, dedication over motivation!), the joy I found in stuff that usually makes me feel great has not been there.
When I go on my early morning walks, I try to take the time to be alone with my mind. No music, no talking...just thinking. About the issues I'm dealing with, what I want to accomplish that week, a project or a problem at work...
I reminded myself today to not let the negative shit happening around me get in the way of my growth.
There will always be things - people, situations, LIFE - that impacts you and tries to bring you down.
We can't let it.
We can't quit on ourselves.
Make a pact with YOU to always work on protecting yourself, whatever that may be. Even if it's just taking baby steps, progress.
