Self Discipline is Self Care

Being disciplined with your habits is one of the greatest things you can do for yourself!

What do I mean by discipline being self-care? This can take many different forms depending on what your goals are.

Since tomorrow is my daughter’s 6th BIRTHDAY, let’s say you’re at a birthday party and there’s a cake.

Self-discipline might mean:

💛 Letting yourself have a slice of cake and *not* going home to ‘fix the problem’ – whatever that may mean for you.

💛 Stopping at one slice, and not going for seconds or thirds.

💛 Being able to eat that cake in front of others without feat of judgment.

💛 Saying no to cake, since you already went over your calories on other foods that day and you are focusing on weight loss.

💛 Saying no to cake because you have high blood sugar and you are working on making better choices about sugar intake.

YOU get to decide that that discipline is depending on your goals and what you need to do to get there.

What do you need to be more disciplined with? Sticking to your exercise schedule? Taking more time for yourself? Focusing on and prioritizing good nutrition?

Think about the things you need to do to reach your goals, and create a plan to reach them. Be relentlessly disciplined. You deserve the effort.
