spreading cheer this holiday season

This holiday season we are hosting a 2-pronged holiday card donation to spread holiday cheer to our American Veterans and critically ill children.

CARD DONATIONS FOR SENIOR VETERANS:

There are over half a million American Veterans in long-term care facilities & nursing homes throughout the United States.

At a time when we are able to celebrate the holidays with loved ones, there are some American Veterans who may be alone during the holidays. Some will not see their families due to COVID-19. Sadly, others have never had a visitor.

To ease the loneliness of our senior American Veterans in local long-term care and nursing homes, we are requesting hand-written holiday cards!

Here's How It Works:

💛 Write a letter, greeting card, or holiday message to someone who may be in need of some holiday cheer. You are not writing to a specific person, instead, letters and cards will be distributed by staff to those who need them most.

💛 Put your letter or card into an envelope, but leave it unsealed.

💛 Drop off your completed cards to our holiday mailbox by December 6 and we will deliver them to the New Jersey DAV for distribution.

SANTA LETTERS FOR THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION:

Santa doesn't just accept emails - snail mail still works! Any letters your children would like to write to Santa can be dropped in our mailbox. They will be brought with us to Macy's Santaland in NYC.

Every letter delivered to Macy's big red letterbox equals a $1 donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation to create life-changing wishes for children across the country.

These can be sealed with your children's wishes inside, but we request you write that they are for Santa on the outside of the envelopes so we can sort them.

All SANTA Cards are requested by December 10 to be brought to the Macy's Santaland.

Contact me for the drop off address if you'd like to participate! If you would like to coordinate a pickup, we can do that too!

Thank you in advance for participating!
