If you do a quick google search, the 'fountain of youth' can found in many places. What I've found from coaching my clients, and working with my most challenging client, myself, is that I can be found following a few guidelines: 🔅 Eating appropriate amounts of nutrition dense foods. 🔅 Exercising in ways that are right for your body. 🔅 Training your heart as a muscle (sorry not sorry, cardio haters!). 🔅 Training your MIND and committing to continuously learning. 🔅 Having a positive and optimistic mindset. 🔅 Letting loose and having FUN. Some of these might be easy for you - others, more challenging. The key, I believe, is being able to prioritize yourself. Cue the "but I'm too busy" or "but my kids / husband / wife / job / other obligations need me"... They do need you. That's an amazing gift! But there are misconceptions on what self care is. Self care and prioritization do not mean putting on a face mask and binging Netflix. It means focusing on your health and wellness, and maintaining good practices BEFORE diagnoses are made from years of neglect on your most precious asset - YOU. You can do it. You have time. And those who love you will be happy you did when they have you for longer. Garmin is a fickle beast (#foreverunproductive), but I'm accepting this personal new health stat with open arms! I'm here to help you with any of the points above where you feel more challenged. Just reach out. Until I hear from you, I'll be acting 30.5 somewhere ✌🏻
